I do! 5 sheets of 1/4″ marine grade Hydrotek plywood and a very expensive Makita jigsaw are now mine. And so begins my foray into boatbuilding. I’ll be building a 14′10″ double ended sailing canoe of my own design, a stitch & glue style plywood hull, a strip planked red cedar deck and a two-masted gunter rig with enough sail area to make her scary-fast. I hope. I’ll try to stay up to date with the pics and progress updates throughout the build processes. Here are a couple pics of the jigsaw and wood as of 5 minutes ago.

UPDATE: Looks like its priced at $2,199. Ouch. I think I’ll stick with my 21″ Trinitron for awhile longer.
Well, we’re only 39 minutes into Jan 5th so far (by EST), and as such I lack pricing info, but this screen is definetly going to cost big. Check it out over at Dell . My birthday’s coming up.. wink wink nudge nudge.

Well hello there, brave new blog-reading world. This is a first post, which is necessarily and intrinsically lame and pointless, so you can stop reading now. For the curious who failed to stop reading, this blog should become more interesting with time. I’ll be posting hardware stuff, linux stuff, thermite related stuff (hopefully pictures), random rants, raves and other assorted insanity. So, without further adieux, I’m going to go and play quake4 on linux. Oh, and happy new years suckers. My resolutions are to take over the world, and to post more here.
